Academy Training

One of the principal aims of The Academy of Experts is to provide a comprehensive training service. The Academy strongly believes that training is the key to achieving and maintaining standards of excellence. It has, therefore, ensured that a full range of training is available for Expert Witnesses, users, lawyers and other advisors as well as for those practising or wishing to practice as mediators and neutrals. Users of the Academy's Expert Witnesses and Mediators can take advantage of the fact that where the Expert or Mediator that they instruct has undergone 'Academy Training' they will be equipped with the tools they need to succeed.

Academy Training is divided into two areas. Expert Witness Training Mediation Training

Most Academy Training takes place at the Academy of Experts unless otherwise stated. Most courses can be arranged as 'dedicated in-house courses' to provide the maximum flexibility and enable trainees to derive the maximum benefit from course attendance. Note: Academy of Experts Courses are provided by ARACS. ARACS is an authorised Law Society CPD provider.

Conference The Academy runs an annual conference on topical matters relating to the work of the Expert Witness. The 2006 conference entitled "The Immune Expert" took place on 30th June at the Brewery, Barbican. The keynote speaker setting the scene this year was Hon Mr Justice Colman.

Hong Kong The Academy regularly runs training sessions in Hong Kong for both Experts and Mediators. [click here] for further details
