This course is a full day refresher and update for qualified Mediators. This course will take a format similar to that of the Mediator's Tutorial and will comprise practical participation with some additional 'chalk & talk' from tutors led by Michael Cohen. The principal activity for the day will be an interactive mediation whicih will give participants the opportunity to re-examine most aspects of the mediation and to question if there are other/better ways of proceeding. As an advanced day delegates will benefit from shared experiences and learning from each other's problems and solutions. This session will comprise the bulk of the day and will be broken into distinct sessions: The Opening First Caucuses Subsequent Cauci The Agreement The Close During the day we will be re-evaluating the need for mediation to be seen as a non legal service rather than an informal arbitration or adjudication. In addition the crystal ball will be peered into for guidance on how to protect and enhance individuals practices as a mediator. The course is only open to qualified Mediators. It will give a total of 6 TAE points and is eligible for other professional bodies including the Civil Mediation Council CPD requirements.
